A fascinating side of the labor market is that 1/6 - 1/8 of American males in their prime years (25 - 55) have simply vanished altogether from the labor market. It's a trend kicked off in earnest in 2008-2009. If you took the current population of persons actively seeking employment, doubled it, that = the number of males in their primes not working, not seeking work -- vanished.
