The business model of TV and the Internet, for many
years, has been to serve our needs/desires and to
embed persuasive messages (ads) in their services.
I expect AGI to serve us and to persuade us (to
answer your question, its messages will serve and
persuade us). Because it will be intelligent, its
services will be great and its persuasion will be
subtle. Even without AGI, persuasion has gotten
pretty subtle.

As Matt points out, its services will include lots
of physical actions, like manufacturing stuff and
driving vehicles.

As has been pointed out, GPT-3 is brittle. AGI
language skills should be grounded in sensory/motor
experience.

I'm with Ben that we'll be better off if AGI is
based on a modified business/political model. I
