You gotta be kidding us NKT. That has nothing to do with GPT and other AI. Blender version2 by Facebook is the most advanced AI in existence, while DALL-E has something Blender doesn't have, multi-modality. I've tried them all and got human level music completions to my songs. We are so close to AGI, yous should be very scared. We have a very good chance at getting AGI by 2029. A year ago I thought maybe 2035 or 2040, but now 2029 is possible. 2035 may be a better date though yes, due to how slow humans tend to be. This is our post, it guides us kinda BTW.
The thing that's better than Perplexity/Compression scores is AI that looks and talks like a human (Turing Test), (if it can make new novel ones then it truly is human level AI, right now our AI does a really good job there), and what's better than that is how long it lives - immortality test you could call it. All 3 tests have pitfalls that look the best, rocks and statues live longer than us but aren't fluid to allow learning and repair and avoid meteors hitting. And AI can pass the Turing Test if it copies our data word by word a whole paragraph some guy wrote. And the Compression score is solid over Perplexity but can look good but not be from the important pattern finding mechanisms, for example you could get the score down 1MB either form recency priming or not that but related words matching/predicting.
