If you want to write a movie script (or documentary) with a believable fiction aspect a good place to start are worldbuilding groups, such as r/worldbuilding on reddit. Max Tegmark did a similar (but smaller) fictional narrative at the beginning of his book "Life 3.0". Good luck, it could be fun. You could also put the text on github so people can make suggestions.
