OpenAI & the other big boys. Mainly OpenAI. The guys who can actually afford to run 10,000 graphics cards. Because kid you not, that's the main difference between them and us. Where the most talent is assorted is open for debate.
Without giving people equal chances, you will not find out who is actually the most talented. Not saying Sam Altman isn't smart, far from it, naturally. So they will get "A(G)I", and soon. And I use the parentheses here to distinguish it from real AGI, which I think, what they do is not. It looks similar though and will fool people for a while. In reality, they will create quite an abomination because after all, we know neural networks are black boxes.
