Different alphas across different hypothetical universes might affect the 
overall intelligence of each universe. Perhaps affecting the rate at which 
intelligence increases. I don’t buy what some say though that if alpha wasn’t 
perfectly tuned to what it is now then intelligent life wouldn’t exist. It 
might exist but in a different form. Unless there is some particular strong 
physical coupling.
