Weinstein is critical of the peer review process in government funding of scientific research, that it is holding back scientists with bold new ideas in favor of "safe" research with a high probability of success. He wants to investigate UAPs (formerly UFOs), which he believes are secret government weapons programs researching gravity shields as anti gravity devices. He is also critical of the civil rights act in holding back research. I guess I can understand that. I am aware of studies showing that grant proposals had a higher acceptance rate when the reviewers believed that the submitters were Black or female. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T2784bbfe524b0b93-M49be5268e6f1fc7289b534eb Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
