We already have humans that exhibit a hierarchy of needs within a complex social framework, what is the point of an AGI again? Narrow AI aids humans by doing work humans find tedious and overly time consuming. Eventually narrow AI will accomplish everything AGI sought to accomplish, but with humans remaining in charge and determining where to direct the computational resources.
Someone please answer the question of what is the true purpose of AGI if not to replace humanity?
