We may have all started as nothing, but now as more complex beings, we are all unique in our own ways.
isn't that because of our partial and inhomogeneous knowledge resulting in different beliefs? a person believing in the words of the holy bible will probably have a different goal than a person believing in becoming obscenely rich to be the best goal? if all AGI systems value the same universal virtues and act in the most rational and mathematically efficient way it seems to me that they would all be equivalent - almost as if they all represent the same answer to the question of life.
Ahem, have you seen the size of this universe?
just because the universe is large does not make it interestingly complex for a superintelligence. counting up integers will not entertain you for a year and browsing the nasa galleries of distant nebulae is only exiting for an hour or so? (and i am far from being superintelligent.)
