I like the simple interface of Phorum, you can see it in the test fora on their site. The problem with some forums and hybrids is the creepage of extraneous eye candy and advertisements that distract without enriching. That's the key. Simplistic yet enabling. Some of us want to communicate with newer media mechanisms. We have a pretty good AGI community here we should somehow expand upon. People have things to say and ideas to communicate and we should facilitate that somehow. Some people have a few moments here and there to post a thought while others are fully dedicated. But this is in many ways multi-agent intelligence, us, melding our minds. Much of what is gained from this list isn't posted. In a way it's just an index into a bigger thing.
