Oh, I didn't realize your goal was to remain a lowly programmer earning an
income that is NOT sufficient to fund your dreams.

My approach also leads to selling my own skills. Any sales of IP will
probably include my own efforts to make it work for the purchaser. However,
in addition to a gigantic up-front payment, I would probably be paid the
pay of an entire roomful of programmers, like you seek to be.

You aren't even giving away your efforts, but are throwing them away, by
going "open source" in a world that isn't even ready to run with what you
create.
