Given that people have often called my ruminations on embodied
artificial life "too abstract" and "unclear and not at all
understandable", I thought I should post that they may be exactly
that. Having watched the Einstein episode of the impossible "Ancient
Aliens", I was reminded of Einstein's mental experiments "what would
it be like to travel on a photon" etc. Well, I am asserting that to
correctly handle the cosmology and epistemology of embodied agents and
ALife it is not enough to write programs that show you something on a
screen that looks like something interesting or better still like
something in real life. Instead ALifers should spent a lot of time
hitching a ride on a cell in cellular automata, being a memory counter
in a modern processor etc.

Anyway, these problems are not immune to formalization and proper
research, for example http://evodevouniverse.com/wiki/Main_Page
