AT, You express here yet again the universal approach of AGI-ers which is simply horrendously wrong.
You ask: “how can I adapt existing technology to solve the problem of AGI?” Simple answer. You can’t. Ever. Start with the problem – and THEN think of what technology you will need – which usually means what will have to be invented. And esp. think of how evolution solved the problem. I doubt that simple organisms are going to do the massively complex computing of their moving pictures that you’re envisaging. Their pictures are vastly simpler than ours. Ditto their brains. I think that if I try to do this with video (high def? 4K? Gigapixel?) I will need a ridiculously big supercomputer, as much as I am an idealist, I mostly do realinformatik!
