You express here yet again the universal approach of AGI-ers which is simply 
horrendously wrong.

You ask: “how can I adapt existing technology to solve the problem of AGI?”

Simple answer. You can’t. Ever.

Start with the problem – and THEN think of what technology you will need – 
which usually means what will have to be invented. And esp. think of how 
evolution solved the problem. I doubt that simple organisms are going to do the 
massively complex computing of their moving pictures that you’re envisaging. 
Their pictures are vastly simpler than ours. Ditto their brains.

I think that if I try to do this with video (high def? 4K? Gigapixel?) I will 
need a ridiculously big supercomputer, as much as I am an idealist, I mostly do 
realinformatik!
