f(I) --> s
At last! All of the complexity of human civilization reduced to a
simple equation. We are saved! The singularity is imminent!
Look, people were flaying me alive for not defining the problem.
Defining use cases for AGI is just silly so I came up with a general
definition for the problem.
There, I defined a part of the problem.
See? It's defined!!
So what do people do?
Complain that the part of the problem that I defined doesn't cover
another part of the problem which I explicitly did not define. I am,
after all, talking off-hand on a mailing list.
Now you are pretending that my formal statement of the problem, which
people had been pestering me about, is actually a claimed solution. It
is merely a formal statement of the problem.
Goddamnit, people! When are you going to produce anything other than
absurdly inflated cost estimates?
hmmmmmmmzers, I just had a brainstorm about how I could develop a good
candidate for f() without much additional hardware.
oops lost it. =P
