The main problem with the human race is that whenever there is the opportunity for something good THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEBODY RIGHT THERE READY TO RUIN IT. It doesn't even matter what we are talking about. Pick anything, and there is somebody waiting right there to ruin it. Why? I have no idea. Because the world is full of idiots.

So, my only point is that it is not the AGI per se, but the people right there ready to ruin it. If somebody asks if AGI will ruin the world, I would say no, it is really somebody right there ready to ruin it. as usual.
