Unfortunately Cyc is based on a logical fallacy,
"common sense", which doesn't exist at scale;
large enough group has nothing in common,
so it was doomed from the start.
My alternative approach is using human speakable programming language,
so humans could program computers using human language syntax.
Speakable Programming for Every Language (SPEL),
your lang to speak with all.
Once it gets up to speed, could even translate the natural languages,
into the more precise variants used by SPEL.
Ontology in it's traditional sense,
is about the definition of a few words (being, exist, real).
Though you mean definition of many words.
since SPEL is a programming languages, the verbs can have definitions.
be say ob quote hello world ya
translates to
say("hello world");
in javascript
an API would then pick up from there
in javascript it could be defined as
function say(string){ console.log(string); }
