AI may function completely different from the human brain but still reach the same "biased" conclusion humans had, this is because AI is and will be trained by human generated datasets, the "bias" may have nothing to do with the underlying mechanism of intelligence but everything to do with the training data.
And I believe some sort of bias is necessary for any intelligent being, it's required by the no free lunch theorem.
