Google certainly has the where with all of financing and position to make
a major thrust into AGI. Yet the AGI people could set up their own grid of
supporters. I don't know the objective function of Google is, but who
does. I would think maybe an AGI society might be in order. Of course some
have already formed... Some AGI's might have a more benevolent objective
and those that are Capitalist and Preditory oriented.

Sieze the opportunity before the window of opportunity closes...
The alliences will form... The question remains what can you offer your
supporters?

A quote from Walt Whitman..
Of eyes that vainly crave the light, of the objects mean, of the struggle
ever renew'd.
Of the poor results of all, of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around
me,
Of the empty and useless years of the rest, with the rest me
intertwined,The question,
O me! so sad, recurring -- What good amid these, O me, O life?
Answer That you are here--that life exists an identity, That the powerful
play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.
What will your verse be?

is already working on a massive and global computing grid. Eventually,
says Mr Saffo, .they're trying to build the machine that will pass the
Turing test..in other words, an artificial intelligence that can pass as a
human in written conversations. Wisely or not, Google wants to be a new
sort of deus ex machina.
