Obviously innovation comes from all walks of life, be they opensource or commercial people. But some entrepreneurs are more capable of appropriating their "inventions", eg Edison did *not* invent the light bulb, but he got famous for commercializing and patenting it. Many people simply don't have the time and energy to commercialize their inventions, and I bet this happens in the software world too.
Having a consortium may allow more people to get rewarded for their innovative ideas. YKY ----- This list is sponsored by AGIRI: http://www.agiri.org/email To unsubscribe or change your options, please go to: http://v2.listbox.com/member/?member_id=231415&user_secret=e9e40a7e
