Hi Mark,
   I certainly did not intend to represent myself to the original poster as
speaking for "the community."  I'm not even *in* that community, whatever it
is, much less representing it.  The original post seemed a bit overly
concerned to me...  What exactly is one going to do about whatever it is
that the military is doing?  Nothing.  So why worry about it?  Will it be
"sane"?  Well, if it is global and general, and can read the meaning in
text, which seems likely, then won't it simultaneously know all the rules of
grammar, all the systems of logic, and all the classics of literature and
philosophy?  It seems that it will be much more sane than any human, with a
clear grasp on what constitutes justice.  Or at least as clear a grasp as
any human has had.  Again, these are just the opinionated musings of a
non-computer person.  My apologies to the "community" if I crossed a velvet
rope without paying the doorman.
