Just a quick note on what is actually a massive subject & the heart of AGI. I
imagine - but do comment - that most of you think when I say that concepts are
rough flexible outlines/schemas, "wtf is this weird guy on about ? what's that
got to do with serious AI? nonsense"

Well, here are some classic examples of concepts as outlines/ideograms:

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.virtual-egypt.com/newhtml/hieroglyphics/sample/ideogram.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.virtual-egypt.com/newhtml/hieroglyphics/sample/ideogram.htm&usg=__laFC58e8cfDyOdIWl1Sa1DGLyJI=&h=236&w=402&sz=4&hl=en&start=2&sig2=eNPq7_9APc8O2qQc5XeC_w&itbs=1&tbnid=KSfetIcmLjRfgM:&tbnh=73&tbnw=124&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dideogram*%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DG%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=RHg8TPyaGMKaOKHV0O8O

Note that it doesn't really matter what outline you use at any given moment for
a concept (as long as it's relevant) because the brain's outlines are
flexible/fluid and evolvable.

This may all seem v. weird to you. But where do you see such ideograms all the
time, day in day out?

Logic.
