Nice summary, yes, and since distinguishing between these three is where
the rules are silent, a judge would need to choose... I'd choose 3 (Michael
had the best arguments for that I've seen so far).

Actually, I think a knave can do things under this one, but everything
e does would be illegal and punishable (SHALL NOT vs. CAN NOT, do I have
that right?)
