Yah, I think a thing to remember is that we channel academia a fair amount
 - i.e. one of the first lessons in grad school is that if someone hands
you back a manuscript of your life's work dripping in red ink with terse
comments like "this sentence is completely unsupported and probably wrong"
it's not about you, it actually means they respect you enough to spend
time scrutinizing every detail.
