Just checked in on the Assets rules. There is no definition for a "class" of assets. It is just stated that recordkeepors track classes of assets. I would say that the plaintext definition of "class" implies either and therefore either is acceptable.

But, if we're to construct a case anyway even though I would argue that there is none...

Rule 2578/1 states:
      A currency is a class of asset defined as such by its backing
      document.

and Rule 2620/0 states:
      Cards are a type of currency with a corresponding Product.
      Products are also currencies.

so therefore, a currency is a class of asset and Cards and Products are each currencies. Technically I should *only* state Cards and Products in my report, and not their subtypes.
