We are having continuous reports about CDs which aren't being recognised by the launcher. That either means there's a CD of Quake I we've never seen before, or there's a regression in the launcher code, since previously we didn't seem to have these problems. Please can you get us a list of files/directories on that CD, and it's label (shows left of drive letter in Explorer)? If you can do DOS or a DOS box/Command Prompt, please use tree. If you're on Unix (Linux), do ls - -lR. > Now, I bought Quake from Id Softwares online shop, but this program > comes as an .EXE-Install file, not as CD-Image. When I install that > version, there is also not any file starting with q101int. Make sure you installed Quake into c:\quake. When you start the game, the launcher will search for data in that location by default and move it over into your AudioQuake structure. Technically, we want the files in c:\quake\id1 (pak0.pak, pak1.pak). If you're installation is somewhere else, copy the id1 directory into your AudioQuake installation directory yourself, and the launcher will work fine when next started. Maybe we should support typing a path for the installed Quake version in future. We'll look into this. > Can somebody tell me how to make Audioquake function together with my > original Quake version. Please let us know if you have further problems. We'll look into making the process easier all round if this keeps popping up. Meanwhile, we'd really appreciate that CD listing, since it'll help us to source any bug in our code.
