As I have been asked some questions about the release privately, I thought I would post an update for you.
Currently we have no Internet connection at home, so I have come into work to do some more work on AudioQuake. It seems to be going well, but I would like to release it after just a bit more testing. I need to know that people other than me can connect to MAUTH servers to make sure that it's safe to release to everyone on this list. When that's been done Sebby or I will post here with the location of the files. If everything continues to go to plan I think next week is a reasonable target for this (i.e. within the next 7 days). The reason it's taking a while is that once MAUTH is enabled by default, everyone will have to upgrade to using 0.3.0rc1, including server administrators. this is because the master server, game server and client all need to be able to talk the same language to each other (the MAUTH protocol) to verify that people connecting are who they say they are. If you have not already done so, please visit http://stats.agrip.org.uk/reg/new to register your chosen player name. This will ensure you're ready to connect to MAUTH games when the release is made.
