My QW folder is empty, in fact.  I have gotten most of the maps I need  
from Andre's version's maps folder, except for "totaldestruction.bsp,"  
and one other whose name eludes me at the moment. :)  I have a  
CARTLOAD of maps if anyone wants more; I probably have over 100 total.
