Hi there: I'm sure you have probably checked this, but just in case, make sure that your file extensions are being shown, I downloaded JQ a long time ago and had this problem in XP Pro, the file seemed to have the qmod extension, but when I double checked the control panel to make sure file extensions were not being hidden I found that they were, and that the real name of the file was something like JediQuake41.qmod.zip. The rest was simple. Just remove the .zip at the end there ya have it...
