Yes, the zip file you're using is to be run in dos of course you can run it on xp in a command promt window, or if you have dos emulation in linux, maybe there's a way to run in in linux if I were to look at the actual source for the Agrip setup program, but what I did was install in windows, then copy the resulting pak files onto a usb drive and boot into linux and copy them over into the ./zquake/id1 directory. I'm sure there.s a better way, but what the heck, it worked. Nowadays though, I just have the files backed up on an external drive and if I ever need them for either windows or linux I just dump 'em in and go. Hth...
