My current thinking on the stun gun is that if I again developed JQ, I'd probably allow force powers to be used when one is stunned. I.E. One could force push the stunner away so that the weapon and its effects would then be disengaged.
This would be one way of balancing out the stun gun bit that people are relying so much on. -Just some thoughts… Chris, you'd asked me about credit in the docs for my original JQ work, and I'd just suggest that you do as I did. List your name for what you've actually done and list other's names such as myself for what we've done. When I'd incorporated code that someone else had either posted to the web or assisted with, I always gave both of us credit and simply gave myself credit where I wrote the code from scratch to create an original function, feature or weapon. You might also consider simply branching the project so as to leave off with JQ 4.2 which is my last build and continue on, noting that the project your doing is your own unique branch of JQ and label it as such. I.E. Perhaps you might call it something like JQX 1.0 and then you could make a note that it is based off of JQ and continues on from JQ 4.2. -Know what I mean?… This way there'd be no confusion… -In fact, as I'm thinking about it, I'd probably suggest this approach, and encourage you to take it. :) This way if I want to continue my own development on JQ, I can continue from where I left off without any of your changes or vice versa. Anyway, nice to see the community playing a lot and chatting about it! woohoo! Is there a way to prevent weapons from being stolen? My saber is the best way to fight because I can't do a whole lot against someone with a nail gun, or even a blaster. especially when they're flying around with grapple hooks. Are there other stratigies? I would appreciate help. As is at the moment, without the sabre the people that just stand there and do nothing but snipe have an easy time of it and I'm scrued until next level when they just yank it again and go right back to sniping. -- Thanks, Ty _______________________________________________ AGRIP-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.agrip.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/agrip-discuss _______________________________________________ AGRIP-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.agrip.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/agrip-discuss
