As a starting point the AIR has definitions available in the Education 
Policies and Procedures, see PAEB section for details. Surely the 
Australian standards definition and that given in the policy document 
should be the same?

I think we need to move away from the "Radiographer" label.  This

fully encompass both MRI technicians and Sonographers as both of 
these 
modalities do not use radiation.  You could start and be technical with 
EMR.  Perhaps we should leave it that these two do not use "ionising 
radiation" nor do they "irradiate" people.  We are all medical imaging 
technologists or mecical radiation technologists (RT's).

If we are going to stand on our feet then we need to get straight what 
we 
are going to call ourselves.
