OK, now I am confused. You are talking about creating a new system for
snapshots for subprojects like Avalon. I am talking about an existing
system for snapshots for subprojects like Avalon. You are talking about
placing snapshots for all of the Avalon sub-subprojects together. I am
pointing out that they already are.

There is the same number of slashes in what I produce and what you propose.
In what is currently produced, if one wanted to pick up corresponding
versions of logkit and cornerstone, they are sorted together, whereas with
what you propose, all of the logkits are together and all of the
cornerstones are together.
Lets discuss further.
