Hi All

I'm back in Wellington after 6 weeks and over 8000 kilometres on the road in
a Toyota tin can, that goes under the glorified title of "passenger van",
with students from places ranging from Alaska to Indiana. Yesterday I had
time to look at the Spider that I reported dead some weeks/months ago and
took the easy option - replaced the electronic unit (Marelli box) with the
one out of my Green GT Veloce and --- we have lift off! Spider is once more
alive and well. The next step is to take for its 6-monthly "warrant of
fitness" check, the ridiculous procedure that all cars go through in New
Zealand and without which a car cannot be re-licensed or driven illegally.
Great :-(

The GTV has been sent to a body shop (Panelbeaters in Kiwispeak) for
restoration that will include replacing all of the leather interior. This
seemed the ideal time to do it because I leave for Perugia, Italy, on the
27th. So if you see an "unsubscribe" command it will be to prevent my inbox
overloading and definitely not because I've lost interest.

Ciao tutti.
