Check Grounds.. The Tranny to Chassis ( a braided cable ), the ganged ground on the drivers side just above the fusebox, the ECU ground at/on the motor rear intake side, just below the cam cover ( or nearby depending on year ). It couldn't hurt to check ( clean! ) the +12 V connection at the exhaust side inner fender well ( coming from the Alternator to the Starter & points south ) - lose any corrosion, please. Also the main battery connections to both ends of their respective wires. These are, as Captain Renault said, "... the usual suspects". Although I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, that there any faults in Alfa's wiring... especially after only 20 or 30 years... jeff clark 82 Spider Veloce 99 BMW R1100S [email protected] -- to be removed from alfa, see http://www.digest.net/bin/digest-subs.cgi or email "unsubscribe alfa" to [email protected]
