Hi Bruce,

Sorry to hear about your problems with your GTV. You will get lots of better
tips on troubleshooting than mine, but you might want to:

1. Listen to the pitch of the fuel pump. You probably have a lot of experience
in the sounds it makes, so you want to see if there are any changes in the
pitch. This will help you isolate the problem.

2. Check both fuel filters, but especially the rear one. You can get stuff,
flakes from the inside of the tank for example, clogging the tank filter
intermittently. This could be why it starts but does not run under load. Take
the filter off and tap it to see if stuff falls out from the input side of the
filter, and of course, simple blow through it to make sure it is not clogging.

3. Check all the fittings on the hard lines and the flex lines. You could have
a small leak somewhere along the lines.

4. You can remove the return line from the SPICA, put it in a container,
disconnect the coil, and then turn on the ignition. By timing the flow and
measuring the gas that goes into the container you can check to make sure the
SPICA is getting the correct pressure.

5. It is possible that the check valve on the main filter is clogged or stuck
shut. This has never happened to me, so I am not sure how to troubleshoot or
fix it, but like #4 you can take the line off the return side of the main
filter, disconnect the coil, turn on the ignition and see if gas is returning
back to the tank.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Regards,
Pete
