The turn signals on the GTV6 from my experience are a bugger.

Two things I found that go bad are the contacts themselves inside the column
switch and the rear lamp boards. The front lamps never seem to be the culprit,
unless for a burned or wrong bulb in the socket.

While operating the turn signal switch lever, push it forward (towards the
front of the vehicle) and back, towards the rear slightly and see if this
results in signal operation. If so, the contacts need to be cleaned with some
400 grit sand paper and some vaseline. If this doesn't do it, check the rear
lamp boards. The contact points where they attached the actual lamp housings
(sockets) get oxidized and loose their conductivity. Remove the boards
completely and either resolder by hand these contact points (rivets) or repunch
them with a nail punch or philips screw driver. Recheck all the the bulb
housing connections for oxidation and pinch and clean as necessary.

Using good common 'electrical' sense, and all this, like a good pastasciutta,
makes things work. Good luck!
