Skip: OK, thanks. I'm going out of town this weekend (NOT in the Alfa L) and

Dave and all,

    I ran into this on a series 3 Spider a few years ago.  There is a plug
in connector behind the dash, below the ignition switch and above your right
knee that can come unplugged.  I forget the color of the wire but just make
sure all the connectors up under there are plugged in solid and see if that
fixes it.
