Gentle Alfisti, I completed the tear-down of the GT engine this afternoon. I found that the aluminum block was corroded at the no. 4 cylinder where the sealing 0-ring contacts the bevel in the liner sleeve. There is a pit about the size of a pea that breaks the surface continuity of the bevel. So Digest, please tell me: Is this block a boat anchor? Or can it be saved? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
