West and all,
Years ago when I first got my Duetto the seal was leaking on the bottom of
the steering box and the box was dry. I filled it with 90 weight gear oil and
within two days it was dry again. So, being the lazy sort that I am, I filled
it with a bag of constant velocity joint grease (available from your local
parts store) and it has been fine ever since.

Subject: [alfa] Steering Box Grease for '66 Duetto?

I've heard you can do a work-around by replacing the steering box oil with
grease and avoid having to replace the seals in the box. Correct? Any
particular grease to use?
