Gentle Alfisti, Thank you for offering advice on my brake light switch. Here's something else: The pot metal decorative nut holding-down the stock airbox lid has what appears to be 6.5 x 1.00 threads. It is loose enough that it will not hold the lid down securely and the threads on both the tricorn nut and the stud appear to be fully intact. The threads on the stud are 6.0 x 1.00. I need to preserve the decorative nut, as I believe it is original. The stud can probably be replaced, but has anyone ever tried to find 6.5mm hardware?
