Cats: I got a replacement bumper over rider for a 74 GTV. The little rubber vertical piece that covers the stainless "knuckles" on the bumper. How do you install them? They have two rubber shafts with shoulders that will snug into the hole on the bumper but how do they go on? I tapped on them with a rubber mallet and then I whaled on them, but they don't install.
