Ah Okay. Well I'll still try to get the addaptor just so it won't kill
the batteries when I apply Phantum to my AT-8022. I don't know in a
sence I sometimes wander if the whole phantum power thing out of such
small things was ever a good idea. Especially 24 vults or 48 which were
your only choices on the LS-100. Here at least you can do down to 12.
But here's my point of question. Where the hell are those 12 vults
comming from? Worse still 24 or don't even think about it 48. I remember
Neal saying on his origenal H4 podcasts that he kinda would say don't
even dare to using phantum on batteries. Again just pondering the idea.
Not saying it shouldn't have been done or anything. Just saying how does
it even happen?

No doubt about the sound, the XY microphone capsule is absolutely superb.
I've done a little recording from my Casio Piano using tracks 3 and 4, nothing
to complain about there.
I also used the input on the X/Y microphone capsule to record from a line out
source and I can say that this recorder has one of the best sounding line-in
inputs I've heard on a Zoom recorder, utterly superb.
You know of course that you can use rechargeable batteries in the recorder? You
set the battery type in the menu system but use is the ultimate word here, you
can use but you can't charge but still this is handy as rechargeable batteries
- given their voltage difference compared to alkaline batteries - don't suit
all recorders.
Anyway keep having fun.

Subject: [all-audio] Getting use to my Epic H6
Well friends as I said before it's here. Haven't set the date or anything on it
yet. But I've threw Neal's H6 podcast which is on his Ravenswood podcast site
I've figured out what it looks like, how to arm things and record. I've
recorded with the XY mikes. Love the sound. Wish though that Zoom had pointed
them out at 120 or 90 like the LS-14 or 100 has them. That way the chanals are
icelated. How ever that's okay cause I bought it for phantum powering my
AT-8022. Haven't set anything up so no power yet. How ever I did arm tracks 3
and 4 and used my AT-8022 in the respective XLRs. I love it. Love how even
though I used it battery powered it still saw it as 2 seperate mikes and stuff.
Man sure this thing doesn't talk the folders maybe a nightmare to get in and
out of and stuff like that. But I think I'll teach myself to love it. it sounds
too epic!
