------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 15 09:23:50 -0800 2005 ------- Aha! Changing from Gentium to Times New Roman fixed the issue. I've never heard of issues with Gentium, so if you've references/links I'd appreciate it (and even more-so if the issues could be addressed, as I really(!) like Gentium's look). Now, I've never seen this glitch with Gentium on Windows 98 or 2000 (OOo 1.1.0 through 1.1.3) nor with GNU/Linux (x86 and AMD, OOo pre-1.0 through 1.1.4), only in the past 3 months or so, now that I've a WinXP (SP1) box on my desk at work. And no, refreshing the display did NOT fix the issue. It seems as if OOo gets confused by (or fed the wrong info from) the Gentium font, so the character spacing and hence the paragraph layout goes haywire. The graphics adapter in this IBM NetVista box is a PCI "Intel 82845G Graphics Controller" with 64MB RAM, Intel Video BIOS; "Adapter String" reports "Intel(R) 82845G /GL/GE/PE/GV Controller"; it's driving the display at 1600x1200x32 at 60Hz. The driver is from Intel, dated 7/1/2004 and version 6.14.10.3865 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
