------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 21 00:15:12 +0000 2008 ------- I'll save a document as Text Encoded and go on to save a series of documents all as Text Encoded. When I change the folder to which files are to be saved, sometimes Text Encoded becomes Text. I don't want that. Once I choose Text Encoded, I want the file type to stay Text Encoded until I deliberately pick another type. I'm not sure if the problem is intermittent for the circumstances described above. Maybe it's not and it's consistent. I'm using OOo Writer 2.4.0 without Java Runtime Environment on Linux Fedora Core 4 on a Pentium 4 laptop. Information initializing your query form is irrelevant, as it's from a public terminal. Perhaps what's happening is that when I change destination folders Writer is (unfortunately) judging the content of a file as consistent with Text and changing the type to Text by how it judges file content, not by the previous menu.
