If I had to sit there and wait for the note to display, even for a couple of minutes, I'd consider that annoying, but understandable. However, the note does display, early on -- in the wrong place, as the attached screen-shot shows. The wait is only for the note to display in the /right/ place. Also note that forcing a repaint, long before the wait-time ends, corrects the display. Putting data in wrong places generally leads to corruption, seg faults, and crashes. Since this particular bug is (a) new, or newly aggravated, and (b) seems pretty clearly to be an initialization problem, it should be easy to catch.
