I'm now able to understand what causes this issue, but I'm still not convinced closing this bug does solve the issue. I do understand that there might be a reason to privilege hard formatting. If the user however marks the paragraph and deliberately assigns a new style to it, wouldn't it be logical and intuitive to overwrite all hard-encoding on this paragraph? For what reason do we save this formatting? The user obviously chooses to reformat?
