probably an "upstream" bug then - google find lots of hits wrt crashes with the
vlc browser plugin, like for example https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/908 or
https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/117640
But OOo should be more robust and shouldn't crash when a plugin crashes.
