When "Line spacing" is set to "fixed", a subscript entered into the line will
cause the baseline of the characters to move up. The problem does not appear
with superscripts.

To reproduce the problem,
* enter a few lines of text in a text box in either Impress or Draw.
* Format - Paragraph, set line spacing to e.g. point size of characters + 2
* In one of the lines, enter a subscript
- observed behaviour: the line of text is shifted up
- expected behaviour: the line of text stays in place, subscript moves down.

THe current behaviour leads to very ugly typesetting when subscripts are used.
There is currently no way to correct that.
