Normally the small Greek letter Chi has a descender. Therefore it is lower than
the d, if you use a normal font. Use the font "OpenSymbol" to get a chi without
descender.
For to get "d" and %chi near to each other set the spacing to 0% and use the
small gap to space operators manually.
The OpenSymbol font will be improved, therefore I set this issue to new, so that
the problem, whether the chi should have a descender, will be considered. And
one might rethink, whether the %-symbols should have spacing or not.
