------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Oct 11 19:27:06 +0000 2009 ------- Just to clarify here, as has been discussed in the forum http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=90020 there are currently 2 ways in which 'χ' (as pasted in from, e.g., http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_letters) differs from '%chi' (as typed in the editor): 1 "horizontal": 'd%chi' renders with an intervening space but 'dχ' does not. 2 "vertical": in the default font/catalog (about which I was unaware) 'χ' is a descender but '%chi' is not. My general preference (YMMV) in both cases is for uniformity, i.e. that 'χ' and '%chi' should render the same way. My specific preferences, in descending order of importance to me, are that 1 "horizontal": both 'd%chi' and 'dχ' should render without an intervening space, in order to improve integration with Greek letters. 2 "vertical": both '%chi' and 'χ' should be descenders, since they are both lowercase. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
